The Department of Radiology at Stanford University is dedicated to excellence in clinical care, research, education, and administration. The people and programs comprising Stanford Radiology are world-renowned. Stanford Radiology's core strength lies in its people: faculty, who are highly regarded for their deep subspecialty expertise, dedication to patient care, and responsiveness to referring providers; multidisciplinary researchers who continue to push the boundaries of innovation in physics and engineering to develop cutting-edge methods for enhanced anatomic and functional imaging; staff who are dedicated and engaged in moving the mission of the department, school, and university forward.
The Department of Radiology at the Stanford Neuroimaging Laboratory is seeking a Physical Science Research Professional 2 (PSRP 2) to apply comprehensive knowledge and understanding of a medicinal chemistry, radiochemistry and/or related technology to various research projects. The focus of such research projects will be to improve the understanding, diagnosis and/or treatment of brain diseases by developing translational molecular imaging agents for visualizing neuroimmune interactions underlying conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson's disease. Research projects the PSRP 2 will work on include the development of novel small molecule and biologic probes and subsequent radiolabeling with PET radioisotopes and/or validation of such agents using preclinical/clinical PET imaging to assess their utility for studying neurological diseases.
