Assistant Project Manager with healthcare experience to support the in-patient hospital portfolio. The assistant project manager is responsible for supporting the senior project manager in the oversight and coordination of all aspects of all sizes of inpatient hospital projects. The assistant project manager assists in defining and documenting project objectives, scope, and assists the senior project manager in project execution, construction management planning, design and procedures. The assistant project manager will assist the senior project manager to oversee and coordinate planning, design, bidding, budget and is expected to assist in leading the project successfully through construction, fit-up and close out. The assistant project manager will assist the senior project manager to ensure all metrics ("KPI") are documented and met â communicating all risks and deviations to upper management. The assistant project manager will assist the senior project manager to oversee vendors, consultants and contractors allocated to the project and will serve as an assistant advisor, subject matter expert and resource to project staff to resolve technical or operational projects. The assistant project manager will report to the senior project manager for Systems Design and Construction Planning Office and is accountable to meet the needs and priorities of the health systems strategy, planning and construction department.
Minimum Education:â¢B.A or B.S. in Architecture, Interior Design, Project Management, Construction Management or related field; Combination of experience and education may substituteMinimum Experience/Knowledge:â¢Three (3) years or more of direct project management experience with one (1) or more years of direct healthcare construction management experienceâ¢Experience in planning, design, construction, and project management of tenant improvement projectsâ¢Experience with OSHPD 1 preferred but not requiredâ¢Knowledge of local, state, and federal construction regulatory requirements for the healthcare industryâ¢In-depth understanding of construction procedures, methodologies, process, and project management principlesâ¢Expertise in project administration, including cost control and documentationâ¢Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectivelyâ¢Excellent time management, organizational and communication skillsâ¢Ability to direct and manage multiple projects from beginning to endâ¢Proficient in Procore, AutoCad, Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.), Visio, Procore, preferred.Required License/Certification:â¢LA City Fire and Safety Certification. If no certification upon hire, must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date. The annual base salary range for this position is $68,640.00 - $112,370.00.
