The University of California, Merced is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience. The budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $36.10/hr - $45.12/hr.

About the Job
The Furniture Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E) Coordinator provides analytical and administrative support to senior project managers within Planning, Design & Construction Management, the department that manages capital projects for the campus. Projects are varied and include renovations, expansions, new facilities, and infrastructure, as well as landscape projects.
The FF&E coordinator collects, develops, and analyzes technical data to determine project requirements and prepares information regarding specifications, materials, equipment, estimated costs, and completion times. Coordinates and maintains schedules from the design phase, through construction. Oversees and ensures that all furniture, fixtures & equipment (FF&E) meet the contract requirements, coordinates installation, training, and close-out documents meet the contract requirements and are properly turned over to the appropriate entity. Maintains database archives of FF&E for all minor to major capital projects.
The FF&E Coordinator is a professional who applies acquired job skills, policies, and procedures to complete substantive assignments/projects/tasks of moderate scope and complexity; exercises judgment within defined guidelines and practices to determine appropriate action.
Facilities Project Management Specialist will assist Facilities Project Managers on large projects. With guidance, assists with small and capital design and construction projects. Oversees and ensures that all FF&E meet the contract requirements and are properly installed. Assist in the coordination and execution of space moves for major capital projects. Takes initiative to make recommendations to modify construction and design scopes to incorporate the needs of the project within the FF&E project.
