In conjunction with the ED the Senior Supervisor will forms partnerships with vendors and the user community to ensure the program will continue to have benefits to UCSF researchers.
They will have comprehensive knowledge of UCSF campuses, internal policies, and external regulations.
Senior Supervisor will work with the RRP ED on design planning and help space planning groups ensure that ChemCentral will have the necessary space to meet the chemical load requirements of the research community.
They will form strong partnerships with campus EH&S and serve as a subject matter expert and help recruit others when required on critical projects.
The Senior Supervisor work with the RRP ED in establishing and assuring adherence to budgets, schedules, and performance standards They will maintain a recharge activity in accordance with UCSF and federal costing policies, identify potential funding sources, and aid in grant writing. They will be accountable for meeting the Alternate Means of Compliance requirements in select buildings. Additional responsibilities include HR decisions and actions, reviewing website development and content, as well as marketing, communication, and education with users on services to make sure the community is well versed and knowledgeable on services available.
The Senior Supervisor will be available for in scope campus visits. They may need to cover absences and will be required to know, in addition to administration, how to assess inventory levels, procure materials, reconcile billing discrepancies, and maintain the point-of-sale software working with Supply Change Management. The broad user base and team members rely and depend on their timely, predictable, and scheduled support. They will provide these services through excellent customer service as well as advice and education to users requiring them to be scheduled in a consistent and predictable manner. They will also partner with the RRP ED in research, development, and testing of new services, software, and techniques, as well as provide assistance and training to other projects as needed and perform other job duties as assigned.

Please note: The compensation ranges listed online for roles not covered by a bargaining unit agreement are very wide, however a job offer will typically fall in the range of 80% - 120% of the established mid-point. An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.
For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.
