The School of Natural Sciences anticipates hiring full and part-time lecturer positions to teach the following subjects in Summer 2023:
Genetics
Introduction to Molecular Biology
Math Modeling for Biology
Microbial Evolution
Molecular Basis of Healing and Disease
Molecular Immunology Lab
Molecular Biology Lab
Molecular Immunology
The Cell
Other courses as needed
In addition to teaching the course(s), the instructor will be evaluating student work and exams, calculating and posting grades, and holding regular posted office hours each week.
This is a limited-term appointment which falls under the purview of the agreement for the Lecturers Unit between University of California and the American Federation of Teachers. Terms and conditions of employment are subject to UC policy and appropriate collective bargaining agreement. Advanced degree in Biology or related field and experience teaching at the college or university level is required.
Salary is based on an annual full-time salary of $64,329.00 and commensurate with experience.
