Assistant/Associate/Full Professor Health Informatics
The Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at UC Davis seeks full time faculty at the ladder rank of assistant, associate, or full professor. This role will be appointed at 50% in the regular professional series, which is a tenure-track appointment. The remaining portion of the appointment will be in the Professor in Residence series. Renewal of the In-Residence portion of the appointment is based upon availability of funding and satisfactory performance; future appointment renewals over 1 year in duration may be available if full grant funding for salary is guaranteed for a longer time. We seek applications from candidates to lead the development of the school's informatics health initiatives.
Candidates are expected to demonstrate proven capabilities and dedication in various areas of specialization, including but not limited to:
Candidates will be expected to spend a substantial amount of their time on research. In addition, successful candidates will work the Associate Dean for Academics on teaching and mentorship assignments within the school's academic portfolio, and Associate Dean for Research for scholarly initiatives (https://health.ucdavis.edu/nursing/academics/programs/index.html).

Aggie Square, UC Davis' $1.1 billion addition to its Sacramento campus, began construction in 2022. The first phase of the project's plans includes over 1 million square feet of research, wet labs, commercial space, public engagement space, and housing. The goal is to bring world-class researchers and the communities they serve together with entrepreneurs, technical experts and industry partners who guide ideas from concept to market. By providing high-tech labs and large-scale facilities, Aggie Square will create the infrastructure needed to make discoveries not only possible but scalable. Later phases could eventually span 25 acres of university-owned land.
The UC Davis Health Digital CoLab is led by Keisuke Nakagawa, director of innovation for the Digital CoLab and executive director of the Cloud Innovation Center. The program is the AI and digital health innovation hub for UC Davis Health and is focused on accelerating digital health technologies to make healthcare more accessible, equitable, and inclusive. Digital CoLab will serve as the liaison between clinicians, researchers, students, and the community to co-ideate, co-create, co-validate, and co-transform digital health solutions.
