Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry, Community Health Program department is looking to hire a part-time Data Management Coordinator to join the team! The Data Management Coordinator schedules statistical analyses and development of graphical representations of data for research projects. Designs databases, oversees data collection and entry, performs statistical analyses, as directed. Provides consultation and training in software applications; oversees maintenance of computer hardware.
Job Accountabilities:
- Develops schedules for producing statistical analyses and graphical representations of data for research projects to meet Principal Investigator deadlines.
- Produces survey questionnaires by selecting standardized questions, as directed.
- Designs and oversees maintenance of databases and/or spreadsheets to manage and process information or data.
- Oversees data collection and entry processes. Resolves problems, answers questions, and provides information to facilitate the process. Uses standard statistical analysis software, as directed.
- Determines appropriate format for data and results presentation. Oversees production of graphs, tables, etc. Oversees assembly and distribution of reports.
- Installs, evaluates, and customizes applications software. Oversees maintenance of computer hardware. Resolves problems. Assesses departmental computing needs and recommends software or hardware upgrades and purchases.
- Provides computer training to staff. Develops written procedure manuals to supplement training.
- Writes, evaluates, debugs, translates, and documents programs and applications.
- Performs system analysis.
- Engages in the design, documentation, testing exercises and database maintenance.
Preferred Field of Expertise: Programming experience in customizing applications software.

The hourly rate range for this position is $28.50 - $37.00. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidateâs work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
