Dr. Wan Du, Professor in Computer Science & Engineering is looking for a self-motivated, creative, enthusiastic, and highly qualified postdoctoral scholar expert in machine learning and distributed system development. The postdoc researcher will work on a project that will focus on developing machine learning systems for building energy optimization and its integration with smart grid and smart electric vehicle transportation.
The successful candidate will have previous training and an established track record positioning them to be competent at machine learning algorithm design and distributed system development. The postdoctoral researcher is expected to perform the following:
• Conduct outdoor measurements and design machine learning algorithms.
• Stay abreast of recent publications in the field.
• Carry out the research independently.
• Interact professionally with the team.
• Publish research articles.
• Mentor students who will work on the project.
• Will be in charge of properly maintaining the equipment in the lab.
