Position title: Teaching Fellow Salary range: See Table 18 for the salary range for this position. Salary is based on an annual full-time salary of $59,346. Teaching Fellows will not be appointed for more than 50% time during the Fall & Spring semesters. Percent time: 25% - 50%

Position description
The School of Natural Sciences anticipates hiring teaching fellow for Academic Year 2023-2024, in the Biological Sciences.
The Teaching Fellow is expected to do the following:
A Teaching Fellow is a registered graduate student in full-time residence who has advanced to candidacy for the doctorate, at least two years of teaching experience (including that of a teaching assistantship) in or outside the University, and under the general supervision of a regular faculty member. Maintenance of a qualifying grade-point average is also required. Must meet all requirements outlined in the UC Merced Graduate Policies and Procedures Handbook and Academic Personnel Manual 410. Must have served as a graduate Teaching Assistant in the biological sciences for least one semester at UC Merced. Preferred candidates will have either taken QSB 201: Teaching and Learning in the Sciences or received other teaching professional development training.
