Infrastructure Services provides flexible, reliable, and secure traditional and cloud infrastructure services (network services, platform services, data center operations and management, and unified communications) enabling connectivity, productivity, and security for UCLA. Infrastructure services strives to optimize performance increasing storage, elevating the network, and reducing downtime.Communications Infrastructure Management is responsible for the design and build of complete connectivity solutions and cable plants for voice, data, and video. Retrofit new infrastructure into existing facilities; cut over of production systems and decommissioning of legacy systems. Lead cabling and infrastructure installation, configuration, and maintenance. Position Summary
The Communications Infrastructure Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing infrastructure projects executed both by UCLA in-house technicians as well as third-party JOC contractors. They will consult on construction projects, including coordinating the project plans and cost management for designing, estimating, and management of installs. They will facilitate projects with UCLA's communications infrastructure and field operations teams, ensuring the successful execution of infrastructure contracts and maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
The Communications Infrastructure Project Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring prompt and efficient resolution of technical issues, managing resources, maintaining service quality, and fostering positive relationships with customers. The Communications Infrastructure Project Manager will positively impact UCLA's operations and culture by ensuring UCLA's IT infrastructure is operable, secure, efficient, and effective in service of the university's academic mission. Salary & Compensation

Three years experience working in one or more of the following fields: network services, infrastructure projects and services, information technology or network operations, or a related field. (Required)
Five or more years experience working in one or more of the following fields: network services, infrastructure projects and services, information technology or network operations. (Preferred)
Experience in complex higher education environments, serving academic and administrative functions of a large public university. (Preferred)
Strong coordination and leadership skills to manage infrastructure service technicians and engineers effectively. Ability to assign tasks, coordinate schedules, and optimize resource allocation. (Required)
In-depth knowledge of communications infrastructure technologies, including network design, cabling systems, and telecommunications protocols. Familiarity with industry standards and best practices. (Required)

Special Conditions for Employment
This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that requires a minimum of three days per week onsite (for those who work remotely, travel/lodging expenses are not eligible for reimbursement).
The anticipated pay range for this position is $102,740-$119,541; salary is dependent upon the skills and experience of the selected finalist.
