Position Information:Under the direction of the Facilities Services Assistant Director of Project Management, the Project Policy Analyst provides administrative and analytical support to the Project Management team, and on occasion to the Planning, Design, and Construction (PD&C) team. This position supports the coordination, efficiency, and productivity of projects managed by the Project Management team using Smartsheets and other industry-specific software. To support projects moving forward in alignment with project timelines, the Analyst supports the needs of the project management team and identifies administrative obstacles to maintain the timeline. In addition, the Analyst may make recommendations to the project management team regarding issues concerning short and long-term project timelines, contracts, tracking project expenses, permits, etc. The Analyst approaches work challenges and obstacles with a solution-oriented mindset.
UC Riverside's Facilities Services is recruiting for a Project Policy Analyst 2. The full salary range for the Project Policy Analyst 2 is $26.82 - $46.17 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Requirements: Educational RequirementsBachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
RequiredAdvanced degree in related field.

2 - 4 years of related experience.
RequiredExperience working in an Architects, Engineering, and Facilities department within higher education environment.
PreferredExperience in the design and implementation of internal controls, standard operating procedures and process improvement.

Minimum Requirements
Proficient in communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Proficient in ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes. Proficient in ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality. Demonstrates ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns. Demonstrates ability to analyze, research and synthesize large amounts of data with strong attention to detail. Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with diverse groups, clients, and constituents, including staff and management.
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of common organization- or research-specific and other computer application programs. Working knowledge of applicable policy analysis techniques. Ability to develop moderate to complex analytics, produce policy summaries, proposals, process flows, and process mapping, Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Access including forms and distribution. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with constant changing priorities Knowledge of construction and/or project management concepts, terminology and tools. Advanced knowledge of Smartsheet software. Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Working knowledge of UC/UCR systems, policies, procedures and regulations as it relates to the scope of the Project Management function.
