Zlitni Lab - Junior, Assistant, or Associate Specialist (Human Microbiome)
The Zlitni lab is seeking a Junior/Assistant/Associate Specialist to join our group and contribute to new and ongoing projects. This work will focus on the study of microbial communication in the human microbiome using in vitro microbiological and biochemical assays. Lab techniques performed by the Specialist include (but are not limited to): DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, microbial cultures, gram staining, metabolite extraction, and genetic manipulation of microorganisms. This position will involve experiments including bacterial culture (aerobic and anaerobic), molecular biology, gene expression analysis, protein gels, and performing other duties such as lab ordering/organization.
