This position is responsible for carrying out complex accounting and analytical duties for the Capital Finance Unit. Responsibilities include reviewing and processing construction pay applications in a timely manner ensuring proper submission of required documents from the Construction Management team; managing capital outlay of building program funds; accounts payable; budget control; reporting; problem solving; project analysis and review; data entry; document review and approval; interface with all clients and other UCD Health Departments; and accountability for the accuracy and maintenance of all financial information.

Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position
Associate degree in a related field and/or a combination of experience, education and/or training in a related field preferred.
Experience in the Accounting, Finance, or Bookkeeping fields required.
Experience with Purchasing and Accounts Payable processes are also required.
Strong Excel skills and ability to analyze, sort and accurately report on large volumes of data in a timely manner.
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate both orally and in writing in a professional, tactful, and effective manner with a broad range of individual styles and managerial levels.
Ability to establish priorities and take initiative when dealing with accounting matters.
Ability to work effectively in a busy environment with changing or conflicting priorities, under tight deadlines, and requirements for accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
Experience with construction project financial processes (payments, contract documents, budget control, etc.) and capital equipment analysis and tracking.
Ability to learn, use, and interpret a variety of manuals, directives, bulletins, and other internal documents including UC policy, accounting manual, facilities manual, construction contract documents, and UCOP and Chancellor's Office directives. Must be able to adjust hours of work to accommodate office needs.

Capital Finance supports Financial Services Administration in the tracking of all capital spend related to new construction, renovations, and equipment purchases.
Capital Finance supports the Facilities Planning, Design and Construction department that is responsible for implementing the UCD Health Capital Improvement Program by managing the financials for all construction projects for UCD Health. Capital Finance is responsible for the integrity of the financial information of these construction projects, and the day-to-day accounting responsibilities.
