Support for a winter musical that uses student actors, musicians and technicians
Manage the performing arts calendar and usage of the performing arts spaces
Ensure quality execution of all technical elements during myriad gatherings in Keck Auditorium
Provide general A/V support in additional campus spaces
Purchase all physical equipment for the theater program in conjunction with the director of theater and with approval of the arts department chair
Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with pertinent developments in technical theater at the professional and educational levels
Embrace opportunities to grow the program through expanded technical theater classes, creating curriculum and a scope and sequence in which students can develop technical theater skills
Cultivate community partnerships and attend local theater events
Assign and supervise students in the production booth and in the creation of scenic, lighting, costume, and sound designs for student projects
Coordinate and train student stage managers
Maintain all theatrical equipment (lights, dimmers, sound and light boards, props, and tools), coordinate repairs and anticipate needs for equipment replacement
Oversee quality control and maintain safety standards in all theater spaces

Oversee and coordinate the rental or lending of School-owned theatrical properties and scenery to individuals or theaters; coordinate with the Business Office all external rentals of Keck Auditorium and support spaces
Provide technical support to all visiting artists who perform in Keck Auditorium
Manage all technical theater budgets
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
A BFA or an MFA in Theatrical Design and/or Technical Theatre or related or the equivalent professional experience

Excellent organizational ability and attention to detail
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
Demonstrated supervisory skills and the ability to keep all constituencies appropriately informed and on schedule

The 500-student upper division, comprised of grades 9-12, is located on the Pebble Beach Campus, where about 60% of students reside in six faculty-supervised dormitories; the lower and middle divisions, totaling 250 students in grades PK-8, are located on the Carmel Campus.
As an American school with a global sensibility, Stevenson is premised on a vision of education as the means by which we discover ourselves in the world and thus contribute to its transformation. We believe that one’s education is best pursued in the company of others, for others’ benefit as well as one’s own. •H...elp students to develop honor and integrity;
•Teach students to engage productively and peacefully with others;
•Nurture students’ ambitions and healthy pursuit of excellence;
•Balance convention and innovation such that we remain true to our enduring values and relevant to the emerging needs of the present generation of students.
We expect all members of our community to be:
•Devoted to our tenets of scholarship and citizenship;
•Honest, honorable, and empathetic;
•Able to examine and be responsible for their beliefs and behavior, respectful of the consequences that attend both;
•Willing to risk failure in the pursuit of wisdom;
•Committed to global literacy, environmental stewardship, and civic engagement.
Stevenson offers its students, faculty, and staff a values-driven community experience influenced by the distinctive beauty, ecological biodiversity, and contemplative culture of the Central Coast.
